Educational Objectives
Media Communication is a discipline that explores communication phenomena at all levels of society, starting with human communication such as communication between individuals and organizations, to mass communication related to the Internet, newspapers, broadcasting, advertising, publishing, PR, and movies. In recent years, media communication studies have been expanding into fields such as smart media, social media, VR, AR, MR· XR, 5G network-based interaction, brain science, and big data, further strengthening the characteristics of convergence disciplines. The Graduate School explores and educates theories and practical applications of communication phenomena in various fields across society. In addition, the Graduate School aims to cultivate 'communication experts' who will lead the new media environment in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution by focusing on cultivating integrated professionals who are interested in various fields that span cutting-edge media technologies, equally cultivating social science analysis, humanistic imagination, artistic expression, and future prediction skills.

A. Matters related to admission
- 지원1. Eligibility자격
- The master's program can only be applied to those who have obtained or are about to obtain a bachelor's degree from a four-year university in Korea or abroad, or who have been recognized as having an equivalent or higher academic background by other laws and regulations.
- Doctoral programs can only be applied to those who have obtained or are about to obtain a master's degree from a graduate school in Korea or abroad, or who have been recognized as having the same or higher academic background as above in accordance with other laws and regulations..
- 1. Special Selection Matters
- According to the regulations of general graduate schools, the evaluation of applicants is divided into document screening and major oral examination.
- In the case of the master's program, undergraduate grades, personality, liberal arts, and major knowledge are evaluated, and the evaluation criteria for each item are based on the results of the department faculty meeting. In the case of doctoral programs, those who have obtained a master's degree and have worked in media, media, and communication will be given priority to special admission. However, detailed standards related to evaluation shall be determined by the department faculty meeting.

B. Matters related to the completion of credits
- To earn credits, students must earn at least 26 credits in the master's program (including 2 credits for thesis research) and 40 credits (including 4 credits for thesis research) in the doctoral program.
- Other matters related to the course credits that students must obtain shall be in accordance with the Graduate School Regulations.
C. Matters related to foreign language examinations
- Foreign Language Test Subjects Master's and Doctoral Programs : English
- Those who wish to take the foreign language and comprehensive examinations must submit the prescribed application form to the graduate school within the deadline with the approval of the professor in charge of the department.
D. Matters related to the comprehensive examination

- Doctoral Program Choose 3 of the courses you have taken
- Other matters shall be subject to the Graduate School Bylaws.
E. Matters related to the submission and examination of dissertations
- Masters Choose 1 of the following
- Option 1. Research Report Same as "Guidelines for Writing Graduate School Research Reports“
- Option 2. Creation: Digital Video Production Free videos planned and directed by the person himself for more than 20 minutes (regardless of genre)
- Submission method: Submit the work plan and the composition proposal as an mp.4 file on a USB drive.
- The work plan should include the following contents: the intention of the project, the process, the budget, and what was learned during the production process.
- The composition of the work must include the following contents: composition content organized by scene, storyboard, script, etc.
- A total of 4 people Oral screening: advisor, 1 department professor, 2 external digital video experts (active PD, active film director, production company representative, and vice president level). At least 3 out of 4 judges approved the pass.
- Option 3. Publication
- DoctorsDoctoral dissertation submitters must publish one research paper (66.7% or more) in an academic journal as the lead author after entering the doctoral program.
