A. bylaws of the department

  • All major fields related to design and art established in art colleges, art colleges, and design colleges are recognized as similar departments.
  • General admission The acceptance of applicants is determined through major exams, interviews, and document screening. The type of examination questions shall be posted to the department one month before the screening date so that preparation can be made in advance, and details shall be decided through a faculty meeting. All other matters are basically in accordance with the graduate school regulations. Special admission
  • Special admission The success or failure of applicants shall be determined through interviews and document screenings. The number of people selected shall be 100% of the total number of people recruited, and the qualifications for application shall be limited to those who are qualified to take the special screening, and who have at least five years of practical experience in the relevant major field or are recognized for education, presentation of works, award-winning experience, etc. Documents required also include portfolios. Except for the above matters, the amendment shall apply.

B. Matters concerning credit completion

  • Ph.D. courses require more than 40 credits, including five common required courses (15 credits), seven majors (21 credits), and two thesis studies (4 credits) within the major course.
  • Master's degree programs require students to complete at least 26 credits, including three common required courses (9 credits), fivemajors (15 credits), and one thesis research course (2 credits)
  • All other contents, including the acquisition of credits and supplementary subjects, shall be in accordance with the graduate school regulations, regulations and bylaws.

C. Matters concerning the comprehensive examination

The foreign language test is conducted only one English subject, both master's and doctor's.

D. Matters concerning the comprehensive examination

  • A master's degree program Number of subjects: 2 subjects / Subjects determined by consultation with professors in charge of each major for the current year

    • Those who have met the comprehensive examination and the foreign language exam may submit a thesis or a work claiming a degree.
    • The method of preparing a thesis requesting a degree shall be in accordance with the amendment, and in the case of "a work requesting a degree", it shall be in accordance with the provisions of the department.
    • The preliminary examination decision shall be passed when more than half of the professors responsible for the department and professors majoring in the department under their jurisdiction have obtained approval.
    • The method of the main examination shall be based on the amendment of the claim paper and the claim work shall be determined by the department, and the decision shall be passed when the approval of the entire professors of the department, including the professors responsible for the department, is obtained.
    • All matters except the above shall be subject to the amendment.

E. Matters concerning submission and examination of thesis

Paper Submission Requirements: A person who meets the following requirements may submit a dissertation.

  • The master's course
    • Common: Bylaws on postgraduate degree claim papers
      • Obtain at least 24 credits required for completion (average score of 80 points for all subjects)
      • Earn all the credits for completing the specified supplementary course
      • A person who has completed a regular registration of at least four semesters
      • A person who has been guided by a supervisor for at least one semester after submitting a research plan for a dissertation
      • A person who has passed the Foreign Language Examination (English) and Comprehensive Examination (two major subjects)
      • Payment of research tuition fee only once at the beginning of the semester in which a degree is to be claimed after completion
      • At least one semester before the preliminary examination and main examination, the thesis plan is announced by the department concerned
    • Department standard
      • The thesis shall be passed through a preliminary examination and a main examination.
      • The preliminary examination shall be passed when the approval of more than half of the professors responsible for the department and professors majoring in the department is obtained
      • In principle, the method of the main examination is decided through a faculty meeting. All other matters are basically in accordance with the graduate school regulations.

  • B. Ph.D. program
    • Common: Bylaws on postgraduate degree claim papers
      • Obtain at least 36 credits required for completion (60 credits for integrated courses, 80 points for average grades in all subjects)
      • Obtain all credits for completing designated supplementary courses (but 9 credits for those with 12 or more supplementary credits)
      • A person who has completed a regular registration of at least four semesters (the integrated course is eight semesters)
      • Obtain at least two credits of thesis research and at least four credits of thesis research for integrated courses
      • A person who has been recommended by the supervisor after at least one public presentation by department under the guidance of the supervisor for at least two semesters
      • A person who has passed the foreign language examination (English, second language: applicable departments only)
      • Those who have passed the comprehensive examination (three majors)
      • Research tuition fee shall be paid only once at the beginning of the semester in which a degree is to be claimed after completion
      • At least one semester before the preliminary examination and main examination, the thesis plan must be announced by the affiliated department
      • A person who has the prescribed research results determined by the department under the guidance of an advisor after admission

      For the integrated course type 2, if you pass the foreign language test and comprehensive examination while attending the master's course, you will be exempted from the foreign language test, and the comprehensive exam will be accepted if you pass only one additional major.

      • Submission of a thesis shall be made by a person who has passed the qualification examination and has a research record of at least 200% since admission (more than 100% required during enrollment)
      • The qualification test shall be conducted as a written answer test, and the expertise and research performance in the major area shall be tested, and three or more members shall present the test in three subjects. The written answer test shall be converted into 100% and shall be deemed to be eliminated if the score is less than 60%.
      • In principle, the research results shall include at least one paper published as a representative author in domestic and international academic journals, and in this case, the score of one paper shall be calculated as 100%. Other methods of evaluating research results shall be determined through the faculty meeting.

      • The preliminary examination of the doctoral thesis shall be conducted twice, more than 70% of the thesis shall be reviewed, and the judges shall be three (a supervisor, Pilcham), the main examination of the doctoral thesis shall be conducted at least three times, two external judges (separate notice by the supervisor and the subject of examination) and three internal judges currently in the school.
      • The thesis submission must be submitted in Korean.
