Outline of the Department
Due to the recent 4th Industrial Revolution and the spread of smart factories, Domestic and foreign companies need excellent R&D personnel such as smart factory design, operation management, and R&D. Also, based on the phenomenon of convergence of various engineering major fields, It is a necessary situation to cultivate convergent talent. It is believed that opening a department that combines various engineering majors will expand the choice for students and maximize the effect of bachelor's management through the operation of convergence departments.
Development of the Department of Convergence
- Fostering talented people in the field of smart manufacturing (fusion system)
- Education on elemental technology and operational management technology required for the introduction and spread of smart production systems
- The composition and development direction of the convergence program are highly consistent with R&D fields such as smart factories and smart manufacturing
- The composition of the curriculum for systematic education in the field of smart convergence systems (see the figure below)
Program Operations Strategy
- It is intended to establish an interdisciplinary convergence, a flexible and practical education system, and a higher level of convergence-based education system.
- Completion of the convergence curriculum, participation in R&D activities, and writing problem-solving papers are performed.
- Through this, it aims to strengthen autonomous innovation capabilities and maximize problem-solving and R&D capabilities.
