Educational objectives
Today, the financial industry is a dynamic industry that creates high added value thanks to the information technology revolution, the development of the financial market, and the opening of the capital market, and its importance and role are increasing day by day, and financial institutions and companies are in need of professional financiers suitable for the new financial environment. Based on a basic understanding of finance as a whole, the Department of Finance aims to foster comprehensive financial experts with key competencies to lead the Korean financial market by developing and improving creative and strategic minds that can acquire in-depth financial expertise and integration skills necessary for financial experts in the era of global competition and respond to changes in the financial environment.

After graduation, what’s next
Students majoring in Finance acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise across the financial sector, equipping them with professional competence and applied skills to pursue diverse career paths. Specifically, graduates may build careers in banks, securities firms, insurance companies, real estate-related businesses, futures companies, investment trusts and asset management firms, financial institutions and public organizations, as well as in general corporations as financial asset managers, foreign exchange dealers, financial consultants, researchers, and in industries such as trade and distribution. Furthermore, by obtaining professional certifications in areas including finance, securities, futures, real estate, asset management, insurance, taxation and accounting, and appraisal, graduates are also able to establish independent practices or work as recognized experts in their respective fields.
